ACCESSORY For MIDLAND RADIO

The XTM80V-SS throat mic and XAM20V-SS for Midland radio don't have any switch for you to change between VOX (Voice Activated Transmission) and PTT.

Most radio need a switch to change between VOX and PTT. But for Midland radio it can be designed to auto switch between VOX and PTT. So the throat and acoustic microphones are manufactured without any switch. The VOX capability is also available for XTM85R-SS.

Operation of VOX mode
All radios (any type) need to have VOX capability before you can use VOX mode on all microphones. You need to set the radio to VOX mode before you can use VOX for  communication.

1) Insert your microphone into your radio jack
2) Power on your radio (never insert into the radio jack when it is already powered ON)
3) Set your radio to VOX mode
4) Then switch your microphone to VOX mode (This need to be done if your microphone come with a switch to change between VOX / PTT)
* For Midland radio, it auto switch between VOX / PTT so you don't need any switch for it.

5) And you ready to use now.
